Jode Pankhurst is an artist based in South East London. She currently works in porcelain and stoneware to create confident and playful ceramic objects that hint at function. Her work explores themes around the domestic environment, the art of collecting and the power of scale. She is interested in the abstract patterns that can be found in everything from flotsam to flora. Her work is stocked internationally via a selection of independent galleries and retailers from London to Japan.

Bespoke new collections are launched quarterly; these are sold exclusively via the online shop, linked above.

‘During the last 12 months, walks, both long and short, have become a daily ritual that I, like many others, have relied on for respite and headspace. I found myself regularly returning home with pockets filled with stems plucked from bushes or seeds collected from the ground. In an effort to distill and honour the inherent hope held in each treasure, I began to collate these and find playful ways to house them. My ceramic shrines are designed as a way to pay homage to souvenirs from the outside world and give each item its own stage within the home.’
